Jewish settlers have illegally taken over Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank. Al Jazeera reported that settlers recently seized the homes of three Palestinian families and cut residents’ water and electricity lines.
Video from Qusra village south of Nablus showed settlers surrounding a house. Aisha Abu Rida said the takeover began Sunday when the entrance to her home was blocked. She said the family would not leave. Loai Ridi, a Palestinian-American, said his brother Qusai Abu Rida and 18-year-old nephew Ahmed were trapped by settlers and the family had little water and depended temporarily on solar power.
Ridi accused Israeli soldiers of taking little action. Peace Now says the West Bank has 146 illegal settlements and 390 smaller outposts.
