BDESK News,

With the upcoming sacred Eid al-Adha in mind, Rabita Agro Farm in the Paikpara area of the district is now festooned with a special attraction—a majestic white bull with a hint of pink. However, this spectacle is about more than just the Eid shopping spree. The vast enclosure houses hundreds of cattle, but all eyes are on this unique creature. Not just because of its color, but also due to its regal demeanor and distinctive hairstyle—long golden locks on its forehead. Its rare features have earned it the nickname “Donald Trump” among many visitors.

On Wednesday (May 13) afternoon, a visit to Rabita Agro Farm in the Paikpara area revealed the presence of this approximately 3-year-old, 700-kilogram bull. Belonging to the Albino breed, this bull sports long golden hair on its forehead. Its unusual appearance has been drawing countless people to the Paikpara area daily. Visitors flock to the enclosure to click photos with the bull.

The employee of the farm said to the journalist, “We have many bulls here named Tufan, Rahman, Dakoat, and Mastan. But this buffalo is the most popular among all.

Khamar authorities have stated that last year, after Eid al-Adha, a buffalo was collected from Rajshahi City’s cattle market. After a year of special care and feeding, it has been sold before even being taken to the sacrificial market this year.

Khamar owner Jita Uddin Mridha said, “The buffalo was sold for Tk 550 per kg as a live auction, totaling Tk 38.5 lakh. A buyer from Dhaka has purchased it and will take delivery from our khamar just before Eid.

The caretaker of the elephant, Ahad, said: “We feed him twice a day at set times. His diet includes oats, soybeans, hay, rice bran, sesame seeds, puffed rice, dates, and green grass. We also provide regular care to ensure his health is maintained.

Mahbubur Rahman, a resident of Nitaiganj in the city who came to see the buffalo, said, “I heard about the pink buffalo on Facebook and came to see it. Yes, I have never seen a buffalo of such a color before.

Though the sight of a cow with a pink hide has sparked curiosity among locals, Narayanganj district livestock officer Abdul Mannan has offered a straightforward explanation for the phenomenon.

“I have heard that there is a cow of rose-colored hue in a stable in Narayanganj city,” he said. “This is not a rare breed. It’s an albino cow. The absence of pigment or melanin in its body makes its hide appear this pale or pink.

Despite Rabita Agro Farm preparing 200 animals for sacrifice this Eid, all discussions have been overshadowed by this male buffalo of a bright pink color. Now it has become the center of attraction for people in Narayanganj.
