Chuadanga Jamaat chief mourns death of party worker

Md Ruhul Amin, Chuadanga district chief of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and member of parliament, along with Advocate Md Masud Parvez Rasel, the district’s assistant secretary and member of parliament, have expressed deep shock and condolences over the death of Md Yusuf Ali Molla, 75, a prominent social worker from Kortpara in Chuadanga’s Alamdanga upazila, a pioneering figure in the Islamic movement, and a dedicated and courageous worker of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

In a joint condolence message Wednesday, August 26, the two lawmakers said: “The late Yusuf Ali Molla was a fearless and devoted figure in the cause of establishing faith. The people of Alamdanga will forever remember with reverence his immense sacrifice and outstanding contribution to building an Islamic society.”

He is survived by two sons, two daughters, and numerous relatives and admirers. He was the respected father of Molla Faruk Elahi and Molla Mohammad Faruk Ehsan, a central leader of the NPP.

The leaders prayed to Almighty Allah to accept all of the deceased’s good deeds and grant him the highest station in Jannatul Ferdous. They also expressed deep condolences to the grieving family, children and well-wishers of the deceased, and prayed that the Most Merciful Allah grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss with patience. Amin.

Molla Yusuf passed away Wednesday morning, August 26, while undergoing treatment in Dhaka.
