Dhaka: A government notification setting out a transfer policy for madrasa teachers disappeared within hours of its publication. The reason was not known.
The policy could not be found on the website of the education ministry’s Technical and Madrasa Education Division on Tuesday evening.
It had been published earlier that afternoon on the website of the Technical and Madrasa Education Division.
An official of the Technical Education Division said the removal could be due to a technical issue, and that teachers would be able to see the policy again the next day.
The published policy had said that only MPO-listed teachers recommended by the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) would be able to apply for transfers under it.
