Iran says its military has struck the US air base at Al-Udeid in Qatar, describing it as the 15th round of its attacks, Al Jazeera reports. In a statement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the strike destroyed a long-range radar system and several US strategic aerial refuelling aircraft, according to the state broadcaster IRIB.

The IRGC statement added that the US enemy and the hosts of its bases in the region should know that the price of crossing limits and attacking people and civilian infrastructure would be very severe, and that if the enemy continued on this path, a still more devastating response would be given that would be remembered in the history of war. There was no immediate independent confirmation of Iran’s claim from the US or Qatar.
