Uttara Bank PLC has approved a 30 percent dividend for shareholders for 2025. Of this, 25 percent was approved as a stock dividend, or bonus shares, and 5 percent as a cash dividend.
The dividend was approved recently at Uttara Bank’s 43rd annual general meeting (AGM), held on a digital platform. Along with the dividend, the meeting also approved the bank’s 2025 annual report, including its profit-and-loss accounts. Uttara Bank gave the information in a press release.
The virtual meeting was chaired by Azharul Islam, chairman of Uttara Bank’s board of directors. Vice-chairman Iftekharul Islam, managing director and chief executive Md Abul Hashem and other directors were present.
The press release said shareholders present at the meeting expressed satisfaction with the bank’s overall progress.
Uttara Bank is a company listed on the stock market. Yesterday, Thursday, each share of the bank traded at Tk 21.50 on the main bourse, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). The share price of this leading private bank was unchanged that day — it neither rose nor fell.
According to its website, Uttara Bank currently has 250 fully online branches and 51 sub-branches.
