Iranian Parliament Speaker and top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said the United States, in seeking to protect Israel’s interests, has put the security and very existence of its own allies in the Middle East at risk.
In a post on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf said U.S. “bullying” and its extreme disregard for its allies’ interests has left every American ally in the region facing major security risks. In such a situation, he said, they had grown fearful even for their own survival.
Ghalibaf also said Iran has received “countless messages” from neighboring countries about building a new regional security framework and expanding economic cooperation.
In his words, ensuring genuine peace and security requires building an independent regional system through their own initiative, rather than relying on outside powers.
Ghalibaf said lasting peace and security can only be secured through a local, independent regional system built around countries’ own interests and security.
