Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has announced the suspension of her country’s defense agreement with Israel, the reports said.
Speaking to journalists in Verona on Tuesday, Meloni said every effort should be made to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Italy’s agreement with Israel was signed in 2003 and has been automatically renewed every five years by successive Italian governments.
