The Middle East is heating up again, with the drums of war sounding. After tit-for-tat attacks were suspended from last Friday, strikes have resumed between Iran and the United States.

In a live report, Iran International said the sound of several powerful explosions had been heard in the city of Ahvaz in southern Iran. The sound of many warplanes was also heard over the city.

Citing various photographs and videos, it said the windows of various houses in one part of the city had been shattered by the powerful explosions.

Citing local sources, it said attacks were being carried out on the Ku-ye Ramezan, Sepidar and Bahonar districts. An IRGC building and the base of the 92nd Armoured Division are located there.

Attacks were also reported on Iran’s Keshm island. Smoke was seen rising there, the report said. Earlier, on Wednesday, US forces said they had carried out a two-hour operation in Iran.

The United States carried out the operation in response to Iranian attacks targeting US bases in various Middle Eastern countries.
