ACC files case against engineer, 2 others detained with 1 million taka in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ — The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against a sub-assistant engineer of the Roads Division and two others, 18 days after they were detained with 1 million taka in Gopalganj. Sohrab Hossain, assistant director of the ACC’s Gopalganj district office, filed the case Jan. 4. The matter became public Tuesday.

Three people have been named as accused in the case. They are Mosharef Hossain, 60, a peon of Shariatpur Roads Division; Monir Hossain Bepari, 40, a driver; and Sajjadul Islam, 33, a sub-assistant engineer of Gopalganj Roads Division.
