DHAKA — Bangladesh’s interim government has promoted 262 officials to the rank of deputy secretary, the Ministry of Public Administration said in a gazette notification.
The notification, issued Thursday, Aug. 28, said the promoted officers would be posted as officers on special duty (deputy secretary) under the ministry. Officers whose offices have changed since the promotion order would submit joining letters with the address of their current posting, it said.
The ministry reserved the right to amend or rescind the order in the event that adverse or contradictory information about any of the officers came to light later.
The notification said the promoted officers may submit their joining letters directly to the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration or online at sa1@mopa.gov.bd. The order, issued in the public interest, takes effect immediately.
