CHUADANGA — Dost Aid Bangladesh Society distributed 18 sewing machines to underprivileged rural women in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga on Friday to create self-employment opportunities.
The machines were handed over to the women at 10 a.m. on Oct. 31 on the grounds of Jibannagar Degree College.
Syedzadi Mahbuba Manjur Mouna, assistant commissioner (land) of Jibannagar upazila, attended the event as chief guest. Special guests included Muhammad Khairul Bashar, assistant professor at Jibannagar Degree College, and Md. Giyas Uddin, the upazila’s assistant social services officer.
Md. Mozaffar Rahman, principal of Jibannagar Degree College, presided over the event. Hossain Ahmed, branch in-charge of Dost Aid Bangladesh Society’s Chuadanga branch, moderated the program.
