DARSHANA — The Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal, the women’s wing of the BNP, has intensified election campaigning in the Darshana municipality of Chuadanga district ahead of the upcoming national election.
Under the overall guidance of Mashiur Rahman, a member of the municipal BNP coordination committee, women’s wing leaders are running extensive outreach and canvassing efforts in support of Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, the BNP-nominated candidate for the Chuadanga-2 constituency.
Party leaders and activists fanned out in groups across the various wards of Darshana municipality from Friday evening, Oct. 31. They went house to house to seek voters’ support for the BNP candidate, highlighting what they described as the failures of the current government and the BNP’s pledge to restore democracy.
Those present included Shantana Islam, Rozi Khatun, Shiuli Begum and Asma Khatun of the municipal Mahila Dal, along with numerous ward-level leaders and workers.
