DHAKA — The president has removed Supreme Court Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar from office on the recommendation of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The Law Ministry issued a notification to that effect on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
The notification said Justice Sarkar had become incapable of properly discharging the duties of his office.
He was removed under the provisions of Article 96, Clause 6, of the restored constitution, according to the notification.
