DHAKA — The application deadline for Dhaka University’s 2025-26 undergraduate entrance exam ends at midnight Wednesday after a three-day extension, university officials said.

The deadline was extended for the benefit of students whose GPAs changed after the rescrutiny of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams. The admissions committee has also issued new instructions for students to collect their fee receipts after applying.

Instructions posted on the admissions website said all students must confirm they have received the application fee receipt for their applied unit. After the application deadline ends, no further payments will be accepted.

The university announced the deadline extension in a notice on its admissions website on Thursday, Nov. 13. Online applications opened on Oct. 29 at noon and were originally to close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16. Under the new decision, applications can be submitted until midnight on Nov. 19.

The notice said the rescrutiny results of the higher secondary exams would be released on Nov. 16. The deadline was extended by three days so that students who became newly eligible after the result changes would not lose the chance to apply, the notice said, while other admission-related dates remain unchanged.

The notice said applicants could apply until midnight on Nov. 19. The 2025-26 undergraduate entrance exam will be held across five units: arts, law and social sciences; science; business studies; fine arts; and Institute of Business Administration (IBA). The arts, law and social sciences unit exam is scheduled for Dec. 13, the science unit on Dec. 20, business studies on Dec. 6, fine arts (general knowledge and drawing) on Nov. 29, and IBA on Nov. 28.
