SARAIL, Brahmanbaria — Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria district observed International Migrants Day on Thursday with a rally and discussion meeting at the upazila parishad complex.
The program began at 11 a.m. on Dec. 18 in a modest setting. A colorful rally was brought out at the start, and participants then joined a discussion at the upazila parishad auditorium.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sharmin Akter attended as chief guest.
The discussion was organized by TTC Brahmanbaria and managed by the Sarail branch of the Probashi Kallyan Bank, with bank manager and principal officer Md. Rashed Hossain presiding. Outbound migrants, returnees, officials from several upazila departments, bank and insurance officers and journalists attended.
