Krishak Dal president submits BNP nomination papers for Pabna-3

PABNA — Hasan Jafir Tuhin, the BNP-nominated candidate for the Pabna-3 seat in the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, submitted his nomination papers Thursday, party officials said.

Tuhin, president of the Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal central committee, collected the papers at 3:30 p.m. from Chatmohar Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Musa Naser Chowdhury.

Those present included upazila Election Officer Sajjad Hossain, Bhangura upazila BNP convener Nur Mujahid Swapan, former president Advocate Mujibur Rahman, Faridpur upazila BNP former convener and former upazila chairman Jahurul Islam Bakul, former general secretary V.P. Abdul Hakim, Chatmohar pourashava BNP president Asaduzzaman Arshed, and Tuhin’s wife Nilufa Jafir.

Assistant Returning Officer and UNO Musa Naser Chowdhury asked BNP-nominated candidate Tuhin and all other candidates and political workers to strictly follow the electoral code of conduct.

Calling for cooperation in holding a free and fair election, Tuhin said, “After 17 years of fascist autocratic rule, we are today living in a free Bangladesh. In just a few months, I have received the unwavering support of the people of Pabna-3. I want to work for the people of this area going forward.” He asked for the prayers of local residents.
