All eight students of Adarsha Shikkha Niketan School and College in Terokhada upazila who sat this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations failed to pass. The college was granted permission to enrol class-11 students for the 2023-24 academic year and admitted 11 students that year. Of those 11, eight sat the 2025 HSC examinations — and all eight failed. The institution currently employs 13 teachers.
Adarsha Shikkha Niketan School and College lies 10 kilometres from Terokhada town. Although its infrastructure is sound, interest in enrolling there is extremely weak.
Headmaster Uddhab Kumar Mohanta said the dismal results stemmed from students not attending college regularly and showing little interest in their studies.
