Tanjim Saiyara Totini has become a mainstay for small-screen directors in a short space of time. She is one of the busiest actors of the moment, with her dramas released regularly on television and YouTube. She is also seen on OTT platforms from time to time. Totini acted in a serial called “House No 96” in 2021. Five years on, she has joined a serial drama again. The serial, “Fire Ashar Golpo,” is being made by Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz.
The production house Cinemawala Entertainment released Totini’s look in the serial on Saturday. Her character is named Nurjahan. Also acting in the serial will be Khairul Basar, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Sumaiya Shimu, Faizul Yamin, Monira Mithu, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Dipa Khondokar, Ejazul Islam and Mukit Zakaria, among others. The drama marks Sumaiya Shimu’s return to serials after a long time.
Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz’s most recent serial drama was “Eta Amaderi Golpo,” made as a family story inspired by Pakistani serials. It drew a response from viewers from the start of its run. The director said the new serial will also show a family story. Preparations for shooting are now under way, and shooting will begin next month, when he will give details about the drama.
Totini has acted in several of Mostafa Kamal Raz’s dramas before. She won praise for her work in the director’s “Tomader Golpo,” “Tomader Golpo 2” and “Somporker Golpo.” She has also recently finished shooting Raz’s drama “Pothhara,” which also stars Zahid Hasan, Khairul Basar and Dipa Khondokar.
Totini was last seen in Zakaria Soukhin’s drama “Kajol Chokher Meye,” alongside Farhan Ahmed Jovan. The drama has been praised since its release on YouTube, drawing more than 13 million views in just eight days. Another Totini drama, “Amar Prem,” is being released on the CMV YouTube channel today. It is directed by Zahidul Islam Sujon and stars Partha Sheikh opposite Totini.
Alongside dramas, film-makers are also thinking of making a film with Totini. Reports appear from time to time that she is signing up for cinema. Totini said, however, that although she has received several offers, she does not want to think about films just yet. Her full attention is on dramas for now. She wants to prepare herself further before signing up for the big screen.
