The government has raised the price of the country’s four main grades of fuel oil by 20 taka a litre. Under the new prices, diesel has been set at 135 taka a litre, kerosene at 155 taka, octane at 165 taka and petrol at 160 taka.
The information came in a notification signed by Md Enamul Haque, senior assistant secretary of the energy and mineral resources division, on Sunday (September 20).
Fuel oil prices had been unchanged in September. Diesel was then selling at 115 taka, kerosene at 135 taka, octane at 145 taka and petrol at 140 taka a litre.
The last major price adjustment was in April. The price of diesel was then raised by 15 taka a litre, and octane, petrol and kerosene by 20, 19 and 18 taka respectively.
