DHAKA — The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards have proposed routines for the 2027 SSC and HSC examinations. According to the proposed schedule, the 2027 SSC exams will begin Jan. 7 and the HSC will begin June 6.
The proposed routine has been sent to the Education Ministry for approval. If the ministry makes any amendments or changes, the routine will be revised and finalized accordingly. The information was announced Thursday in two separate notices jointly issued by the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards.
SSC examination schedule
Under the published routine, Bangla (compulsory) Paper 1 and Simple Bangla Paper 1 will be held Jan. 7. Examinations will start at 10 a.m. daily. The SSC theoretical or written exams will end Feb. 6. Practical exams in all subjects, including music, must be completed by Feb. 11, according to instructions.
HSC examination schedule
Bangla (compulsory) Paper 1 will be held the morning of June 6. The HSC theoretical or written exams will end July 13. Under the routine, HSC exams will be held in two shifts daily; the morning shift will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the afternoon shift from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All HSC practical exams must be completed by July 18 after the written exams end.
The education board authorities said in their notices that the boards can change the schedule at any time if necessary. The notices also said examinees must take their seats in the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the test.
