Education Desk:
With the approach of Eid-ul-Azha and the summer vacation, educational institutions at all levels across the country are going on an extended break. According to the holiday schedule and academic calendar, from May 24, government primary schools, government and non-government secondary schools, colleges, vocational institutions, and madrasas will simultaneously begin their holidays. However, students will effectively have their last day of classes on Thursday, May 21, before the break. May 22 and 23 are already designated as Friday and Saturday weekly holidays.

Following the schedule, holidays in government and non-government primary, secondary, and vocational education institutions will run from May 24 to Thursday, June 4. Teaching will resume on Monday, June 7, after the subsequent weekly holidays on June 5 and 6. Thus, students in primary, secondary, and vocational levels will enjoy a continuous 16-day holiday including the weekly break.

On the other hand, holidays for madrasas are even longer at the Aliya, Dakhil, Alim, Fazil, and Kamil levels. According to the madrasa academic calendar, holidays will commence on May 24 and continue until Thursday, June 11. Classes will resume on Monday, June 14, following the subsequent weekly holidays on June 12 and 13. Consequently, madrasa students will have an extended holiday of 23 consecutive days including the weekly break.

Meanwhile, people across the country are receiving a continuous seven-day holiday for Eid-ul-Azha, similar to the observance of Eid al-Fitr. The government has declared holidays from May 25 to 31. According to the Cabinet decision, offices will remain open on May 23 and 24 before the Eid holidays.
