According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the total number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms in the country since March 15 has risen to 1,108: 101 from confirmed measles and 1,007 with measles symptoms.
In the past 24 hours, 1,221 people were found with measles symptoms, bringing the total number of suspected infections to 191,731, the report said. Another 128 confirmed measles cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, taking the total confirmed so far to 21,520.
Since March 15, 169,800 patients with suspected measles have been admitted to hospitals across the country, and 162,873 have recovered and gone home.
