Holy Cross College in the capital’s Tejgaon will not admit married students to the 11th grade for the 2026-27 academic year. The college’s published admission notice says married applicants need not apply, and that any student who marries while enrolled will be issued a transfer certificate (TC).
College authorities have published detailed 11th-grade admission information on the college website and Facebook page.
According to the notice, students will be admitted across three groups — science, humanities and business studies. Applicants need an SSC GPA of 5.00 for science, 3.00 to 5.00 for humanities, and 4.00 to 5.00 for business studies.
This year there are 780 seats in science, 280 in business studies and 270 in humanities.
Prospective students must apply online from September 2 through midnight September 5. After filling out the application form on the college website or the designated link, applicants must pay a 500-taka fee via bKash, with no additional charge. Once payment is made, applicants can download the application form and admission test admit card.
As part of the admission process, students must sit a selection test. The humanities and business studies selection tests will be held September 10 (Thursday), and the science test on September 11 (Friday).
Selection test shift and timing details will be published on the college website and Facebook page after 12 p.m. on September 8 (Tuesday). Detailed seating arrangements for the selection test, including building name and room number, will be published after 1 p.m. on September 9 (Wednesday).
The selection test for science will cover Bengali, English, physics, chemistry, higher mathematics, biology and general knowledge. The humanities test will cover Bengali, English, general mathematics, geography, civics, economics, history and general knowledge, and the business studies test will cover Bengali, English, general mathematics, accounting, finance and banking, business entrepreneurship and general knowledge.
Results for students finally selected in the test will be published after 1 p.m. on September 15 (Tuesday) on the college website, the Holy Cross College Facebook page, and the notice board.
Finally selected students must confirm admission by paying the admission fee online via bKash between 5 p.m. on September 15 and 12 p.m. on September 17 (Thursday). Failure to pay within the specified time will result in cancellation of the admission offer.
The notice also says that after admission, regular attendance in classes and practical sessions, wearing the college-prescribed uniform, and participation in physical education and co-curricular activities are mandatory. Bringing or using mobile phones on campus is completely prohibited.
The latest admission-related information will be published on the college website, www.hcc.edu.bd, and its Facebook page.
