The government has reshuffled three secretary-level posts. Rafiqul I Mohammad, who was transferred from the Agriculture Ministry to the post of secretary at the President’s Office’s public administration wing just 11 days ago, has now been transferred again. The contract-appointed official has been moved to the post of secretary, Rural Development and Cooperatives Division.

Separately, Mohat Shawkat Rashid Chowdhury, secretary of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division, has been made chairman, with secretary rank, of the Land Reform Board, while A J M Salahuddin Nagari, chairman of the Land Reform Board, has been made secretary of the President’s Office’s public administration wing.

The changes were announced in separate gazette notifications issued by the Public Administration Ministry on Friday, a weekly holiday.

The government had previously reshuffled the secretary posts at the Agriculture Ministry and the President’s Office’s public administration wing on August 10. At that time, contract-appointed Agriculture Ministry secretary Rafiqul I Mohammad was made secretary, on contract, of the President’s Office’s public administration wing, while Agriculture Ministry additional secretary Md Selim Khan was promoted to secretary and made secretary of the same ministry.

A separate notification issued that same day attached Khan Md Nurul Amin, then secretary of the President’s Office’s public administration wing, to the Public Administration Ministry.
