Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said there can be no normalization of relations with Israel until its occupation of Palestinian territory ends, Al Jazeera reported.
In a speech on Sunday, Sisi said: “There is no room for normalizing relations without ending the occupation, stopping injustice and aggression, returning rights to their rightful owners, and ensuring security and peace for all.”
Sisi called on the international community to maintain the Gaza ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. He said more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire came into force.
He added that Palestinians deserve a state where they can live in peace and prosperity.
