A factory worker named Anwar Hossain, 35, was killed in a collision between an autorickshaw and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Bhaluka, Mymensingh.
The accident took place around 7:30am on Saturday, September 26, in the Kathali Palli Bidyut area of the upazila on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.
The deceased, Anwar Hossain, was the son of Chhalim Uddin of Kalnajani village in Phulpur upazila.
Anwar worked in the supply chain management department of a factory in Bhaluka. In the morning, he was traveling from his home in Phulpur, Mymensingh, toward Bhaluka in a CNG-run autorickshaw on his way to the factory.
According to eyewitnesses and others concerned, Anwar was critically injured when the autorickshaw and CNG vehicle collided in the Palli Bidyut area. Locals rescued him and took him to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty referred him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital after seeing his condition worsen. After he was taken there, doctors declared him dead around 9:30am.
Sub-inspector Abdul Bari, on duty at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, confirmed the incident.
