Police in Bhaluka, Mymensingh, have recovered the body of a young man named Md Ratan Mia, 25, found hanging at his home.
The body was recovered on Tuesday afternoon (September 29) from his house in Dhalikuri village in Uthura union of the upazila. Ratan Mia was the son of Chan Mia of the village.
Local sources said his family found the door of his room shut on Tuesday afternoon and then saw him hanging inside, after which they informed police. Bhaluka Model police went to the scene and recovered the body.
Local union parishad member Mansur Ali said Ratan’s mother had died a few days earlier. He worked as a day labourer and is survived by his wife and a young child. It is not clear why he died, he said.
Sub-inspector Md Ismail Hossain of Bhaluka Model police station said the body had been recovered and legal action is under way.
