Minister responds to primary teacher appointment concerns

DHAKA, Sept. 26 — Education Minister A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milon said misleading information was being spread through media and social media over appointment letters for finally recommended candidates in the government primary school assistant teacher recruitment 2025.

The education minister made the remarks Saturday afternoon in a Facebook post.

He wrote that the government had noticed misleading information being spread in different media and on social media over appointment letters for government primary school assistant teacher recruitment 2025. He said any successful candidate who has not received an appointment letter by Oct. 1, 2026, would receive one in phases as soon as possible after proper review. The post also said verification or vetting is a regular process in recruiting government officers and employees.

On Jan. 9, written examinations, or MCQs, for assistant teacher recruitment were held simultaneously in 61 districts, excluding the three hill districts. A total of 69 thousand 265 successful candidates were selected for oral examinations.

The final results for recruitment to assistant teacher posts in government primary schools were published Feb. 8. A total of 14 thousand 384 candidates were preliminarily selected for recruitment, with district-wise lists of successful candidates published.
