The Kalima Tayyibah has been installed on the wall directly behind the Speaker’s seat in the National Parliament, on the advice of Prime Minister Tareque Rahman.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) disclosed the information in a post on its Facebook page Tuesday, August 18.

The Facebook post said that before the National Parliament’s 13th session began on March 12, 2026, the Arabic calligraphic inscription “La ilaha illallahu Muhammadur Rasulullah” (“There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”) was installed on the wall directly behind the Speaker’s seat, on Prime Minister Tareque Rahman’s advice.

Alongside this, on the prime minister’s instructions, the principle “Trust and faith in Almighty Allah” was engraved and added at the entrances to the National Parliament.
