LDP Chairman Dr. Col. (retd) Oli Ahmed has advised the prime minister against staying overnight outside Dhaka. He offered the advice while speaking at an 11-party seminar at the Diploma Engineers auditorium on Wednesday (July 8) afternoon.
Addressing Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Oli Ahmed said: “Your job is to root out the foreign spies present in Bangladesh. You are being harmed by them, and the country is being harmed. As the son of Begum Khaleda Zia, you need to take the initiative on reform.”
He said, “You cannot run the country surrounded by enemies on all sides. We are your open enemies. Those who are beside you are your real enemies.”
Oli Ahmed said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is surrounded by enemies, with foreign spies present in important positions within the government and the party. He said foreign spies could seriously harm Tarique Rahman at any time and advised that they be removed from the party.
He said the country’s law-and-order situation is not good, extortion is happening in various places, the economic situation is poor, and new investment is not coming in. “You (Tarique Rahman) are not in a good position,” he said.
Oli Ahmed said the 11-party alliance is not the prime minister’s enemy but his friend, which is why they are offering this advice openly. He said he hopes the prime minister will go down in history as a great leader.
