Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Commander Mohebbi claimed that the US military presence in the Persian Gulf has fallen sharply. He said that before the latest Iran-US war, about 30 to 40 US warships were in the region, but there are currently none in the Persian Gulf.

Press TV, citing the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, quoted Mohebbi as saying there had been 30 to 40 American warships in the region before the Ramadan war but not a single one in the Gulf now.

He warned that if Iran faced another threat, long electricity-transmission lines stretching hundreds of thousands of miles, thousands of power plants, all American and non-American systems, and global infrastructure connected to the internet could be at risk.

Mohebbi said US military power is built around fighting in multiple theatres at once, and the reduction in weapons after fighting Iran had become a threat to the United States as it confronts Russia and China in the central Pacific.
