The Hormuz Strait is “more important” than dozens of nuclear bombs, an adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, Mohsen Rezaei, has said.

In an interview with the ISNA news agency, he said: “This strategic waterway is more important than dozens of nuclear bombs, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will protect it.”

According to the Tasnim News Agency, Rezaei also said: “The Hormuz Strait acts as a strategic deterrent. Iran will protect the country’s interests and security relying on its defense capability and national strength.”
