Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a joint defence agreement. According to a statement from Pakistan’s foreign ministry, the agreement aims to promote peace, security and stability in the region and beyond, towards building a safe and prosperous future.
Earlier, Turkish state media had said the agreement was expected to be signed by the leaders of the three countries in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a mutual defence agreement in September 2025. Under that agreement, Pakistan deployed fighter jets and military personnel to Saudi Arabia in April this year. Pakistan has long provided military cooperation to Saudi Arabia, while Saudi Arabia has repeatedly given financial help to Pakistan in times of economic crisis.
