TANGAIL — Police recovered the bloodied body of an unidentified woman from a rice field in Tangail’s Delduar upazila on Wednesday, officers said.
The body was found around midday in Salpaladu village in Lauhati union, beside the Dhaleshwari River, police said.
Witnesses said farmers working in the rice field that morning saw the body lying in a pool of blood. They alerted Delduar police, who went to the scene and recovered the body.
Azharul Islam, inspector of investigation at Delduar Police Station, said the woman had not yet been identified. The body was sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue for an autopsy, he said. Legal proceedings were under way, he added.
