The proposals made by the Law Reform Commission will be implemented in line with the “July Charter,” Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman said. He made the remark on Friday morning in response to reporters’ questions after inaugurating a tree fair at the old DC court grounds in Jhenaidah town.
“During the interim government, the Law Reform Commission issued 133 ordinances. We have accepted almost all of them,” the minister said.
At the same event, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat spoke on developing the country’s tourism sector, saying a master plan had been adopted to attract domestic and foreign tourists and expressing hope it would significantly advance the sector.
The prime minister’s political aide, Rashed Khan, criticized the NCP’s recent political remarks as “outside political etiquette.” “We would advise the NCP that wherever they hold political programs across the country — without Nasiruddin Patwari — the BNP will fully cooperate with them,” he said.
The tree fair’s opening, chaired by Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Noman Hossain, was also attended by Zila Parishad chairman and district BNP president MA Majid, local administration officials and representatives of various political parties.
