Bangladesh inflation eases to 9.16% in June as food prices decline

Bangladesh’s overall inflation rate declined to 9.16% in June from 9.42% in May, driven primarily by falling food prices, according to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

Food inflation dropped to 8.6% in June from 9.6% in May, providing some relief to consumers.

Non-food inflation edged down slightly to 9.61% in June from 9.71% in May, indicating that price pressure in other sectors of the economy remains elevated.
