Government development grants for 10 mosques in the Chuadanga-2 constituency were formally handed over on Friday. Local lawmaker Mohammad Ruhul Amin presented the grant documents to the respective mosque committee members.
The 10 mosques receiving grants include Muktarpur Majhpara Jame Masjid, Andulbariya Ghugragachhi Purbapara Jame Masjid, Uthli Senerhuda Purbapara Jame Masjid, Kurulgachhi Buichitala Hospital Para Jame Masjid, Notipota Potar Para Masjid, Kutubpur Masjid, Joyrampur Gatir Para Masjid, Joynagar School Para Masjid, Ishwarchandrapur Boro Masjid, and Darshana Ajampur Masjid.
The lawmaker said: “Religious institutions play an important role in establishing morality, humanity, and social harmony. These government grants will help accelerate the development and religious activities of the mosques. My efforts for religious and public welfare development in the area will continue.”
Mosque committee members expressed satisfaction with the government initiative.
