US Senator Jacky Rosen has demanded the resignation of Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir over his call to kill 30 to 40 people per night in Gaza. She described Ben-Gvir’s remarks as “horrifying and completely unacceptable.”

In a post on X on Monday, Democratic Senator Rosen said anyone who speaks in favor of violent acts against innocent civilians should not hold any government position. She said Ben-Gvir must therefore resign.

Rosen also called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn Ben-Gvir’s remarks. She said Netanyahu should make clear to the world that such statements do not reflect the government’s position.

In a recent podcast appearance, Ben-Gvir urged killing 30 to 40 people per night in Israel’s military operations in Gaza.

Ben-Gvir’s remarks have drawn widespread criticism, and calls for his resignation have grown louder.
