SSC and equivalent results out; overall pass rate 62.25%

This year’s SSC and equivalent exam results have been published. Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon released the results at a programme in the education ministry conference room at 10am on Monday. The average pass rate under the general education boards this year is 62.25%.

In 2026, 106,009 examinees earned GPA-5 under the nine general boards, down from 125,018 last year.

Across the nine general education boards, the madrasa board and the technical education board — 11 boards in all — the average pass rate is 62.25%, with 116,676 examinees earning GPA-5.

From Monday afternoon, examinees can learn their results online, from their own institutions and by mobile-phone SMS.

A total of 1,857,344 examinees sat the SSC and equivalent exams this year — 930,305 boys and 927,039 girls.

There were 1,418,398 examinees under the nine general education boards. Under the madrasa education board, 304,286 sat the Dakhil exam, and 134,660 sat under the technical education board.

Students from 30,666 institutions took the exams at 3,885 centres across the country.

Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee chairman and Dhaka Board chairman Professor Dr Syed Aktaruzzaman said results could be collected from the designated website and by SMS, as well as from the institutions themselves.
