Tasnim Sinha has taken over as the new managing director (MD) of ACME Laboratories Ltd, a leading listed company in the pharmaceutical sector.
The company’s board said the appointment took effect on 10 August. The information was posted on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website on Tuesday.
The DSE said a meeting of ACME Laboratories’ board unanimously decided to appoint Tasnim Sinha as managing director.
The company said it hopes Tasnim Sinha’s leadership and experience will play an important role in sustaining ACME Laboratories’ steady business growth, improving quality, and further consolidating its position in domestic and international markets.
ACME Laboratories, a pharmaceuticals and chemicals company, was listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange as an “A” category company in 2016. Its shares last traded on the day of the report at Tk83.40.
For the financial year ended 30 June last year, the company paid a 35 percent cash dividend. According to its latest unaudited accounts, earnings per share (EPS) for the first nine months of the past financial year (July 2025 to March 2026) were Tk9.40, down from Tk11.48 in 2024-25.
ACME Laboratories currently has a total of 211,601,700 shares (about 21.16 crore). As of 31 July, 40.39 percent were held by sponsors and directors, 30.50 percent by institutional investors, 29.09 percent by general investors and 0.02 percent by foreign investors.
