A grand ceremony has been organized for July 18 to mark the formal launch of Naogaon University’s academic activities and the orientation of new students for the 2025-26 academic year. The university’s academic journey will formally begin with the event, to be held at 10am at Naogaon Upazila Auditorium.
The information was disclosed in a press release signed by Naogaon University acting registrar Md. Sayem Bin Solaiman on Tuesday (July 7).
University administration said the new institution of higher education will begin its journey with the admission of students and launch of academic activities in the law and accounting departments for the first time.
Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milon will attend as chief guest at the event.
Special guests will include State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, Education Secretary Abdul Khaleque, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, UGC member Professor Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mamun, and Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) Director General Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel. Members of parliament from Naogaon-1 through Naogaon-6 constituencies and the administrator of Naogaon District Council will also attend as guests.
Naogaon University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Hasanat Ali will preside over the event.
