There is no clear evidence that Iran is rebuilding its nuclear facilities, according to Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The report is from Al Jazeera.

He made the remarks in an interview with Argentine newspaper Clarín.

Grossi said there is no “clear evidence” to suggest Iran is rebuilding its nuclear facilities following the US and Israeli strikes.

He also said talks over Tehran’s nuclear program remain stalled because of the war. He said Iran’s roughly 440 kilograms (972 pounds) of highly enriched uranium remains exactly where it was during last year’s 12-day war.

The head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog said: “The facilities have been severely damaged. It’s possible they’ve begun rebuilding some of their infrastructure — that can’t be ruled out — but there’s no clear evidence to indicate that’s happening. So the matter remains a major unresolved question.”

He added: “We are ready, and we hope to be able to resume our work there as soon as possible.”
