Iran is continuing to attack US military bases in various Middle Eastern countries, including Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan. In a statement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the United States had been waging wars and launching military attacks in various countries for many years, and claimed that Washington had failed to learn from its recent defeat at the hands of Iran’s armed forces.
The statement said that at Kuwait’s Ali al-Salem air base, fuel storage tanks and a Patriot air-defense system had been destroyed, and it claimed that a strategic radar system had been completely destroyed at the country’s Ahmad al-Jaber air base. A US surface-to-surface missile base in Kuwait was also targeted, the IRGC said, and in the attack two HIMARS missile launchers and a warehouse loaded with missiles caught fire and were completely destroyed.
In a retaliatory operation, Iran attacked the US Prince Hassan air base in Jordan, where several fuel depots and ammunition warehouses caught fire, the IRGC claimed. The statement also claimed that Iranian forces had destroyed a US drone fleet in Bahrain. At Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa air base, it said, a helicopter maintenance center, a hangar housing a P-8 aircraft and a US military drone command-and-control center had been attacked.
