Bangladesh Bank has published new exchange rates for the US dollar and other major foreign currencies on the domestic market.
The central bank said Monday, August 24, that the rates were set based on demand and supply in interbank transactions.

Currency prices on the open market tend to run somewhat higher than Bangladesh Bank’s official rates. These exchange rates determine the cost of trade and commerce across the country.
