TEHRAN — Fourteen members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed when unexploded ordnance detonated in the northwestern province of Zanjan, Fars News Agency reported. Two others were injured.
The agency said the dead were members of a specialized unit tasked with removing unexploded ordnance scattered in the area. About 1,200 hectares of farmland are at risk because of the unexploded munitions, the agency said.
