Two children have died of measles symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 880. Almost all of those who have died are children.
The information was given on Tuesday (11 August) in the Directorate General of Health Services’ report on measles.
The notice said that, from 15 March to date, a total of 880 people have died of measles and measles symptoms across the country. Of these, 782 died of measles symptoms and 98 of confirmed measles.
It added that no one died of confirmed measles in the past 24 hours, but two people died of measles symptoms. In the same period, 979 new patients with measles and measles symptoms were recorded.
