The government is carrying out development work of various kinds while making sure that limited resources are used properly, the whip of the national parliament, Alhaj Md Akhtaruzzaman Mia MP, has said. He made the remarks as chief guest at an exchange meeting held at 3pm on Saturday (September 19) on the grounds of Chirirbandar Technical and BM College in Dinajpur.
He expressed confidence that the government would deliver all its election pledges within the present term. He said that in only eight months the government had taken up plans for a great deal of development work and had begun carrying them out. At the same time he alleged that various conspiracies were under way against the government. He said clearly, however, that the government would face down every kind of conspiracy and move forward to achieve its aims. Abdulpur union BNP in the upazila organised the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the president of Abdulpur union BNP and union council chairman, Alhaj Md Moyen Uddin Shah. Others who spoke included the member of the upazila BNP convening committee and former vice-chairman Md Nur Alam Sarkar Dulu, the senior joint convener of the upazila Jubo Dal, Alhaj principal Md Mominul Islam Momin, the upazila BNP leader and assistant professor Md Mesbahul Islam, Kabir Sarkar, and the general secretary of Abdulpur union BNP, Mokarram Hossain Mukul. Leaders and activists at upazila and union level and representatives of the associated and affiliated organisations were present.
