Two new junior ministers were sworn into the cabinet under Prime Minister Tareque Rahman. The swearing-in was held at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban on Friday evening, with the new president administering the oath. The two new junior ministers are Humayun Kabir and Mohammad Shameem Kaisar Lincoln.
Earlier, at 7:30 p.m., Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was sworn in as the country’s 23rd president at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban, with acting Jatiya Sangsad speaker Kaiser Kamal administering the oath. The new cabinet members were sworn in immediately after the president’s oath.
