Objects resembling rockets — rocket launchers — have been found while digging in Ramgati, Lakshmipur. They were seen on Wednesday morning while a trench was being dug to lay a water line beside the road at ASM Abdur Rob Government College in the upazila. The sub-assistant engineer Rifat Hasan informed the local police station of the matter. Onlookers crowded round to look at them.
An officer of Ramgati police station, Liton Dewan, said three rocket launchers were found while earth was being dug during work on the municipality’s water line.
Although they appear to be rocket-like objects, it is not clear what is inside them. The rocket launchers have been recovered and are being kept in police custody.
